We took a break from social media!

We took a social media hiatus to pause and observe.

Taking a step back from the whirlwind of social media was an eye-opener for us. In a world that glorifies non-stop hustle, we realised the importance of listening to our own well-being. Sometimes the best way to recharge is by observing, not just creating. We embraced the art of listening and absorbing, challenging the notion that more content is always better.

While posting frequently is beneficial, what you're posting is more important.

During our breather, we realised that our content should be a gift, not a chore. If delivering value means taking a step back to rejuvenate our ideas, then that's exactly what we're going to do. Your content needs to provide value to your audience, so if you're struggling to post regular content that is valuable, take a break! Returning refreshed and with new ideas will be more beneficial than just posting regularly.

Consistency is key, but not at the cost of authenticity.

We admit, social media fatigue got the best of us. That's why we pressed pause, to be able to return and actually want to engage with our audience. Your audience wants you to show up consistently, and when you're feeling burnt out or tired of socials, this is more of a burden than a connection. Build your community, but do it when you have the capacity to.

Let's face it – we're more than just our business.

As a small business owner, it's easy to feel like it's your soul responsibility to make everything happen. And while this may be true in some cases, you need to remind yourself that you are more than just your business and that it's okay to take a break or ask for help. It's time to redefine success and take a step back from the relentless hustle, if it's costing us peace.

Social media's toxicity won't define your business...so take the damn break!

So, if you're feeling burnt out or fatigued from your socials, here's what we recommend:

1. Show up when you can add value: If you're struggling to post regularly, add value and engage with your online community...take a break until you can show up and add value simultaneously.

2. Ask for help while you're gone: If you're struggling to do everything and fulfil every role, take a break and ask for help. Hiring someone else to manage your socials will free up your brain and give you one less thing to worry about.

We hope you find the time to relax and look after yourself too. You deserve it!
